10% and Sheep Dog Training

So this morning I did a nice easy two mile run and I had some time to think about things.  Back when I started my fitness journey one of my coaches was talking about body fat percentages and where he felt that he preformed the best.  At that point I decided I was going to shot for 10 percent body fat as a goal.   I made it to around 14 percent at my best.  I had giving up on that goal for a while but I am going to start working on it again.   There are a couple of things about working towards this goal.
1.  No Fad diets or get ripped quick ideas.  I have done different types of diets and some worked amazing but I lost more than I gained.   I will not do a diet but rather a life style change I love food way to much to try and do some crazy diet.  I will just start eating clean 90% of the time feeding my body the things it needs to get better.
2. No losing strength.  The easiest and fastest way to get your body fat down is to change your training to pure cardio and not worry about losing strength.  This does not fit into what I plan to do.  At my best back in Utah cardio and endurance I was about where I wanted to be but strength I was no where close.   I could go out and do 13 miles pretty easy but to clean above 155 never happened.  This will begin what I am calling sheep dog training.  My training will take aspects of Crossfit, Endurance training and Strong, Swift and Durable training and create a hybrid type of training that helps me reach my goals.  I have a Go Ruck coming up in Oct that I need to get ready for and I want to be able to get through it pretty easy.  Also I plan to take a PT test on the 12th of Nov and get 100% on it based on the standards for an 18 year old.   Basically I am going to continue to chase my goals that I placed earlier in the year only I am going to increase the amount of cardio and endurance work that I do.  I think by the end of the year I should be able to be back where I was in Utah or below.
3.  I normally do not get on a scale or take pictures of myself.  I am going to do it this time.  Whenever I work with anyone I always tell them to avoid the scale and just take pictures.  I tell them that the scale is not a good judge of your fitness.   I will prove that now.   As much as it is I am going to create a visual journal as well as a written journal of my progress.   So yesterday I weighed myself at 194 to give a perspective when I was 14 percent body fat I weighed 176.
4.  The last thing is that I want to get my endurance back.  Sheep Dog Training will be about getting and keeping myself to where if I need to go run 13 miles it will not be a big thing also if I need to move a lot of weight it will be easy.   I want to have a well rounded fitness and it is going to take time but I know I can get where I want to be.   I will not be training for a half marathon or a full marathon but rather I will train and just one day decide I feel good enough to go run 26.2 miles.    The biggest aspect of this training is that it will not focus on one aspect or one solo goal it will be a total package approach.
